Vocal Improvisation
Open evenings & weekend workshop with Giulia Matteucci
Giulia Matteucci is a leading figure in the contemporary vocal improvisation scene. She weaves together voice, attention, and live group interaction. In the Czech Republic, her approach and work can be experienced for the very first time.
In her practice, Giulia explores the voice as a tool for communication, play, and discovery, without the need for prior musical training. She creates a safe and open space where music can arise spontaneously from the present moment and from mutual listening.
During her time in Prague, Giulia will offer open evening vocal improvisation sessions and a weekend workshop, drawing on the practice of Collective Vocal Improvisation (CVI).
Registration: To register for the weekend workshop or the open evening sessions, please use the online form.

About the host – Kateřina Hodková
Music has been part of my life since childhood. Alongside my main professional work, I have long been engaged with music in different forms, including work with the voice, which has also led me to organize this event in Prague.
Together with Giulia, we are currently attending the two-year Taketina Teacher Training. As part of this learning process, we will also open a free Taketina session, offered as an invitation to a gentle experience of rhythm, voice and movement.
Further details will be shared soon.
